Comentarios: Un absoluto desastre. Desde que pasamos de Sage One a esto, nuestras cuentas ya no son claras. No solucionan los problemas, y prometen cosas que no hace el programa.

Puntos a favor:

Tiene potencial, cuando el programa esté acabado.

Contras:

Faloos continuos, movimientos duplicados, hay que hacer ni se sabe de pasos para cada cosa, nada intuitivo.

Great for small and medium businesses

Comentarios: Always useful and quick to resolve any issues I may have.

Allows you to set up accounts at ease with easy to review financial reports allowing users to understand where their business stands at any point in time.

Contras:

Once you have filed your VAT returns you cannot go back and update/edit the previous entry

Comentarios: Overall it is very positive. The software is mostly reliable and the support team, if required, are always helpful. The online help guides are very useful too.

Puntos a favor:

We like that it is intuitive and has a specific accounting module for us as a charity - fund accounting and gift aid functionality.

Contras:

We have a problem at every year end (last 5 years) when rolling the balances forward on the restricted funds (new opening balances on Balance Sheet). They are always incorrect, causing our opening balance sheet to be wrong (balances of unrestricted funds and restricted funds) and we have to manually adjust them - something our Auditors are not keen on and we have to get additional checks done in order for our accounts to be signed off. This has been looked at several times but SAGE support, and our data submitted to them for review, but they cannot resolve for us. Very frustrating and a huge admin task for us at year end when we are already busy.

Comentarios: Sage has a few glitches. It pulls through transactions twice from my account. Transactions that have been already reconciled suddenly re-appear. It has also put a transaction both in the income and outgoings. I find creating rules particularly difficult. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t

I find navigating the site quite easy. Invoicing is easy.

Contras:

I find it hard to find help in the help centre. If you don’t put in the phrase it likes it can be quite difficult to find the answer to your question

Long Time User, First Time Reviewer

Comentarios: We have been using this company for over 30 years. We started using a software known as Bedford that eventually changed to AccPac and then now known as Sage.

Puntos a favor:

Forms have the look needed for a small business to “look” good, larger than we might actually be and the forms can be easily modified to be branded.

Contras:

The software does not interface easily with email software, particularly Office 365.

Comentarios: Positive, although one is slowed down slightly online waiting for pages to load.

The product is has a country version specific to Ireland. The payroll and accounting are linked.

Contras:

Editing after payments is not allowed and when reconciling, if a payment for the next month is reconciled, you can’t roll back to the end of the last month to do a reconciliation to follow your printed monthly bank statements, and the bank column shows transactions but no balance column.

Works well being an online, cloud based product - like being able to have multiple users (all of the directors) access accounts reports and information from wherever they logon as opposed to having to pay for multiple user accounts or all use a single machine in the office.

Contras:

Lack of budget reporting is frustrating as is not being able to fully interrogate double entry journal records.

Great Accounts package for every business

Comentarios: Having used several different accounts packages my experience with Sage has gone very well, the initial transition was a little tricky as with any package when switching across but once set up soon got to know way round the package, able to set up ledger names that we wished to use. Excellent customer support with very experienced advisors who offer second to none service when assisting with issues. I am happy with our Sage package and will continue to use most definitely.

Puntos a favor:

Sage is very user friendly, great customer support always on hand to assist with any issues. Clear and concise ledgers and reports, can set up pretty much how the company wants opting for specific names ledgers. Saves time as Accountants can access the accounts to prepare end of year saving time. Good all round package especially for the smaller business.

Contras:

To be honest there is not much not to like about Sage, some of the invoicing elements bit clunky for example if you need to change Clients name on a specific invoice no facility to do this at source rather than go back into Customer record, lot of columns look messy if a balance if not being out on each line. Would also be advantageous to prepare delivery notes prior to invoicing as in our business goods are often sent before invoicing especially for Clients on account. Found the Stripe a little complicated having to download CSV from Bank Account, however currently do not use this facility.

Comentarios: Very good but as described above there is always room for improvement

It’s simple and efficient to use. It was also easy to implement and transfer data

Contras:

There are some features which could be improved eg when email invoice out customer the invoice shows as being attached but you have to open the email to find any supporting documentation caused much confusion with customers Another example it would be helpful if documents ie contracts could be attached to customers and suppliers

Fairly Easy to use. The Software obviously has a lot of capability.

Multiple invoice payment...not sure if it can grab a selected range to pay instead of typing them in one by one.

Comentarios: Just okay. Difficult program to work with for a small business. Used it only because CPA at the time had recommended. Since then they have put us on Quick Books Online. Love that platform.

Overly complicated. No way to tie bank account into accounting software. We only used the firmware version; we did not use an online version.

Sage Accounting - User friendly accounting software

Comentarios: I would recommend Sage to other businesses, ... it's an all in one accounting software. You can even integrate other softwares to enhance some of it's features like AI AP automation. :)

Sage is a great accounting software for a company's accounting needs. It covers every aspect of ones business, from invoicing, to AP, to AR, inventory, and the end result of a businesses operations - the financial report.

Contras:

So far I like Sage and what it has to offer! No complaints as of yet. It works for us and our needs.

I have been using Sage accounting since the 90's It has been developed over the years to cope with the evolving times.

Contras:

The latest cloud version has a limited capability compared with the desktop version, which is frustrating at times, but if you are new to using the comparison isn't there.

Bad Customer Service

It has many features. There is quite a bit of set up.

Contras:

Large upfront cost to set up. Some functions are hard to use. It is expensive and account manager does not help. We are being charged for a function we do not use but signed up for by mistake. Too bad..you still are required to pay the annual fee.

Great customer service but not cheap!

Contras:

It’s not cheap! Other softwares (such as Xero) is less expensive. Sage also used to be a one time cost and now it’s an annual subscription.

A wise decision for my business

The website is user friendly. One of its best features is its integration systems. I can easily connect Sage Accounting with other software such as Quickbooks. It also connects with Stripe. This feature allowed my business to qualify for funding because it showed an overall history of my payouts and business stability.

Contras:

Some of the more advanced features are included only in the more expensive plan which might not be affordable for every small business.

Comentarios: Poor, we moved away from it to Xero due to the issues listed in the Cons above

It used to be a very good product but has lost it's way against Xero and Quikbooks

Contras:

Very legacy product now. The cloud version is not true cloud and has limitations. Difficult to manage product versions
