It is the best integration I have seen so far.
Also could not post a route larger than 20 stops, that is the limit built into Samsara, we can have routes with up to 30 stops in a day.

I have worked on Samsara while managing Safety and Tracking for multiple companies. The safety, tracking features and historical data they offer and speed for application is unmatchable.
We developed an inhouse application for our safety offerings and their developer freindly documentation helped a lot.
Puntos a favor:
1. Simplified and robust documentation on each and every feature. 2. Also, the compliance and rules they follow and explain is also very helpful for small companies where safety manager is not available. 3. Customizable Alerts, Document Management Tools, Customizable Mobile app 4. Developer Friendly with webhook support.
Contras:
I have not some to any such shortcomings so far. But sometimes, notification emails or alerts are not triggered on time.

Comentarios: Very positive and love the products. Our entire fleet and Operations team have adapted quickly with the help and support of the Samsara team.

Customer support and reliability with the correct info given.
Contras:
I would say as a carrier, the trailer tracking equipment battery life is terrible. Even set with low frequency on pings, these trackers constantly have to be swapped out or serviced which cost time and money.

We have all Samsara cameras
Comentarios: We have had cameras for several years and have liked them. We have a different company for the ELD and we are very happy with the ELD's but when we tried the cameras, they were not as good as Samara cameras as far as dependability, tracking and views. We converted all of our buses to Samsara cameras getting away from the others.
Puntos a favor:
Installation of cameras was fairly easy, replacement was very easy. Tracking and updating pictures is better than our last vendor.
Contras:
I would like to talk to someone when there is a problem instead of being directed to a library of how-to videos that take time and may or may not address the problem or question I am having.

Exceptional Fleet management
Comentarios: From the beginning of the sales cycle to implementation was very quick and efficient. Our sales team was extremely knowledgeable and ready to assist throughout the implementation.

Ease of implementation. Accuracy of the devices. Outstanding support.
Contras:
Spurious errors from gateways. Not enough to cause issues, but a minor inconvenience.

Comentarios: It has gone very well, the samsara team has always been there to help.

Seeing what the drivers are doing wrong and coaching them on how to become a better driver.
Contras:
If you have to remove the camera to install into a different vehicle the tap wont hold.
Samsara is worth every penny.
Comentarios: The experience with Samsara has been amazing! 3 years and going strong.

The information is endless! Samsara provides all of the tools needs to run your fleet. Including HOS, safety, and Maintenace tracking.
Contras:
Some of the reports could have more details on them. It would be useful to select the information you receive with in the reports.
Samsara or Bust
Comentarios: I have been using it the past 5 years and it has been a great resource for me to learn and use.
Puntos a favor:
It is a great software for tracking and elogs. I use it all week and all day from checking hours and routes. I am able to use it on my pc and phone and aslo has a app based product. It is very useful in the trucking industry. I have used other programs in the past but this one is all inclusive.
Contras:
I dislike that when I try to zoom into the maps the exit number doesn't become any more visible.

A few problems, but a good option compared to others!
Comentarios: Overall, Samsara's best function is the trackability of assets and the ELD for our drivers. Driver logs are easy and user friendly for both drivers and safety admin and other personnel.
Puntos a favor:
Samsara devices are easy to install, making tracking of equipment a breeze! Also, many, many reports are available for any time frame and groups!
Contras:
Samsara behavior detection is often off and inaccurate. It would be nice if the external camara could detect the speed limit outside of the built-in google map speed limits. Samsara flags speeding on side roads, overpasses and other streets drivers aren't even on. It just isn't real time so there is a lot of investigating that has to be done to ensure your drivers are not speeding.

Comentarios: Overall the experience has been very good. However, I would suggest a report be created that tells when a driver has unplugged a vehicle gateway, when it is plugged back in and how many miles were driven during the period of time the vehicle gateway is unplugged. This would be a major and helpful resource to carriers. As there are drivers that will do just about anything to get around the ELD.

We like that it is an easier system to work with and provides tons of tools.
Contras:
The feature we like least is the Reports. Reports need to be easier with data that makes sense. Who cares what percentage of time a driver used personal conveyance for, tell what time it started and where, tell me what time it ended/where. Reports are quite convoluted and often do not make sense.

Comentarios: Absolutely fantastic. Support has been so much better as the company has evolved into a better app and online experience.

Instant video of accidents and issues. We are able to get quick footage in the event of a major accident.
Contras:
My only issue is not being able to assign drivers to there vehicle. We typically make many changes in that area as a school district.

Samsara renewal is a joke
Comentarios: They are well above price of their competitors. Verizon's Connect is $5 per device per month cheaper and their customer service is unparalleled. They are quick to get your money and then ghost customers that have been loyal for over 3 years. They had so much going for them. But they have a 1.2 out of 5 rating on BBB and their google reviews are in the tank. They respond with a generic response but don't actually do anything.

The equipment works and we were able to track the vehicles. The ai feature works great.
Contras:
The customer service. [sensitive content hidden] will not answer your messages or phone calls. We were suppose to do a renewal and he is absent. There is a bottleneck for the renewal where you can only deal with him. His management team doesn't intervene. You are left at his disposal. 3 weeks in the process of renewal with 7 systems failing. You can't buy replacements because you have to be in contract.

Mostly a great product with limited support.

Support is terrible. Access to support is the worst. Then when/if you get through, the first person you talk to can only read the screen/error. No depth of knowledge. Why cant drivers see the picture from their own devices? When running a split clock, drivers cannot view upcoming rollover hours easily. I end up sending screen shots to the drivers so they can plan.

Comentarios: Outstanding! After using another product for a period of time, switching to Samsara was the greatest move we as an organization could have made.

Comentarios: Initial contact was great, [sensitive content hidden] was super informative and helpful. Support later on was spotty at best but we figured out how to navigate thru obstacles on our own. Dashboard very user friendly.

Easy to plug and play both the ELD gateway and the camera. Customer service is great, always responds within the same business day. The customer portal is extremely user friendly with new features every month.
Contras:
Billing is very difficult - multiple bills, not just one bill. Reports for personal conveyance and missing DVIR are not part of the standard reports as we found in Omnitracs XRS.
Disgruntled customer !!!HELP!!!
Comentarios:
The sales team.were amazing and told us everything we wanted to hear. The client support phone staff try there best but have a difficult time understanding the issues and are quick to get you off the phone by saying they will send a link to solve the issue. Rarely do I receive a link and whn I do, it has nothing to do with issue.
The issues we are having are minor.to fix wirh the proper climet support staff. We still haven't found anyone that's willing to help since May 2024m

We switched our entire fleet from Motive to Samsara. Absolutely disappointed in the client support.I am aiming to switch back to Motive. I've tested out four ELD platforms in the past seven years. Samsara is by far the worst platform so far when it comes to client support. I can't figure out how anyone could give this platform more than one star.
Contras:
Zero client support. I've been attempting to resolve several issues for over six months and have been ghosted by every support staff member. I need.to speak to a manager immediately if Samsara wants to salvage our relationship

Power BI API Praise
Comentarios: My experience has been very positive, especially with customer service. I’ve always had every question answered.

The Power BI API first and foremost, the customizable roles, the accuracy of the GPS, the tag and attribute system, the advanced geofencing, and the excellent documentation.
Contras:
The Power BI API is still in beta and needs work, it it is making great progress!

Comentarios: great very easy to use and to teach others being able to pull videos use compliance and safety has helped out our company tremendously

i wish ifta portion was more reliable for some reason our numbers are always off then what the miles really are
Douglas Lumber Samsara Review
Comentarios: Overall, this application is hands down the best vehicle tracking system we've ever used here.
Puntos a favor:
Overall we love how easy this is to use. The ability to track vehicles accurately is huge for us at Douglas Lumber. Vehicle Diagnostics is also a huge help and makes scheduling service for our fleet easy!
Contras:
The way the tracking system shows times. Trying to figure out the point in time a vehicle was near a certain address on its route is a little less cut and dry than other aspects of the tracking system.
Cannabis x Samsara
Comentarios: I've had a chance to attend a few interactive webinars and experience more of the training side of Samara which has enhanced my experience on the platform exponentially. Those experiences set Samsara apart from other platforms and utilizing the platform has also been valuable to growing our fleet.
Puntos a favor:
The variety of features that we can customize to ensure our business is running efficiently, as well as giving us more insight on each driver to gamify their performance.
Contras:
GPS locating isn't always pinpoint accurate. We find depending on what side of a parking lot we've docked, it may provide a different address than the actual building it is at-which becomes a compliance concern when comparing to manifests.
