Comentarios: I've had a really good overall experience with FOUNDATION. As the proprietor of a legal office, I have discovered this software to be a dependable and all-inclusive option for running my business. My process has been substantially simplified, and my efficiency has grown, thanks to the powerful features and simple interface. For me, it has been a game-changer to be able to manage activities like time tracking, billing, document management, and customer contact on a one platform. The reporting and analytics features of the program have also given me insightful information on the productivity and profitability of my company. Additionally, the customer service staff has always been accommodating and supportive anytime I've had queries or ran into problems.

I thought FOUNDATION was a fantastic piece of software for my legal practice. Its extensive feature set that is tailored precisely to the requirements of law practices is one of the characteristics of it that I loved the most. My financial administration duties, such as billing, invoicing, and trust accounting, have been greatly streamlined by FOUNDATION's powerful and user-friendly accounting module. I like how well it synchronizes data and allows for efficient workflows with other crucial systems, such time tracking and case management. My firm's financial status has been made clear to me thanks to the configurable reporting features, which have helped me make wise business decisions.
Contras:
Although FOUNDATION has been an amazing software solution for my legal practice generally, there are a few features that I didn't think were as great. The learning curve needed to grasp its advanced functions is among the aspects of it that I liked least. It took me some time and effort to completely comprehend and use the system as a new user.

Foundation needs some improvement but great product
Comentarios: tech support is very helpful but always belated. there are lots of items that need quicker responses than waiting for a call back. Payroll issues for sure.

Has a ton of features after getting implemented properly. Takes a lot of time to get fully implemented.
Contras:
System is slow. Worst part is the getting new users process. We should be able to add users to onelogin without calling foundation. This should be fixed first. I see you are getting new IP addresses at new year. Hoping for increased speed.

Accounting Team Review
Comentarios: generally good customer service and help when help tickets are submitted. Job costing reports are easy to generate and read/review

Positive. Would like to see more PAYROLL Training.
Customer service when posting a call, has been positive 85-90% of the time. Customer service team is knowledgeable and helpful.

Customer service quick response time is super appreciated. Allows me to move ahead with tasks, as often an issue holds me back from completing certain tasks. Program options to enhance our day-to-day business functionality are beneficial.
Contras:
Training. Was lots of hands on, didn't find it was smooth, initially. As I have learned the system, I am understanding the quirks. Have tried to take a couple of classes. Have left comments re: the positive and negative of each class. PAYROLL TRAINING- would like to see a class on PAYROLL TRAINING. That is my biggest shortfall with the FOUNDATION program.

Great product for construction accounting
Comentarios: Overall Foundation is a great system for construction accounting. They are small enough to care about their clients!
Puntos a favor:
Our company has been a Foundation client since 2016, and their customer support is always to notch. They will resolve all questions quickly and efficiently, and if some problems require actual updates to their software, they will put those into development que and make updates to improve their product based on customer feedback! Job costing is key in construction, and with Foundation it is built in once your company is live with Foundation. Foundation also has their payroll service, Payroll4Construction that is directly inside the software, so even complex Union and Certified payroll is simple to do and all Certified payroll reports come out either electronically to upload to various platforms, or on paper to send to entities who request those types of file.
Contras:
Not much to dislike. Very robust system.

Comentarios: I am a CPA in public accounting who works primarily with construction contractors. I love when my clients use Foundation because it is one of the premiere accounting softwares in the industry and has a CPA module that makes it easy for me to get the reports that I need for an efficient audit/review. I know I can rely on their job costing and WIP modules to help my clients prepare accurate financial statements.

This hasn't been the most fun. The system handles accounting, and after more than 4 years we've dialed some things in better, but it still misses the mark.
The system totally misses the mark when it comes to Project Management. I'd say use another software if at all possible.
Puntos a favor:
Foundation electronically routes vendor invoices to appropriate associates to support efficiencies. The system has the flexibility for you to create your own job numbering system or will generate it for you so you can easily track jobs by numbers. The system houses all construction project accounting information.
Contras:
The system is very much so like Microsoft Access. You can't search for construction projects by anything other than the job number. If you do, you'll need to create a list or report, export it, then filter it. Then you can go back to Foundation and find it by the job number. Standard reports don't supply what's needed, so you have to become a master of creating them or pay for Foundation to create them. Their Project Management Module is horrible. Their Dispatch Module is acceptable, but quirky. They constantly charge more for each and every single module that makes the system better. And, each module takes you further away from the original system. It's strange, to add a new client you enter the client. Then enter the client billing address through a different selection. Then go back to the client record to connect the billing address to the client. Really? This is strange.

Comentarios: When I get the help it so helpful but, getting it is the issue.

I first began using Foundation in 2015 at a previous company and just loved it. I always got a call right back for customer support. The videos were fantastic, everything I was doing was interesting and with so much ease. When I took over the office for my current company it took over a year for me to finally get my boss agree to the change from Sage to Foundation but, I explained the significant increase in cost was so worth it! I finally got the green light and was sooo excited to have Foundation back! I was mostly excited about the customer service I was going to be receiving!
Contras:
Implementation has been AWFUL! Customer service response time has been a NIGHTMARE! Not what I was expecting :-( Initially, the training scheduled was a weekly thing, more often my meetings began to get cancelled. Once I sent an email to a different trainer in my group expressing a little frustration I was never again put on calendar for training. I was not even informed if it was all finalized. No month end close training, no bank rec training and today, (what compelled me to make this review) I put in a service call at 1PM PST, my project in HQ is not in the cloud so I cannot send an RFI with attachments that need to be addressed tomorrow. I am told I am first in que for a call back. Fast forward 3PM PST I follow up. I am told the next available will call me. It is currently 4:41PM PST and I still have not received a call back and I do not even have an account manager I can call to fix the issues since my implementation support has been no help either. Truly Truly disappointed and ashamed that I even suggested this to my owner.
The most user friendly software I've used in the 20 years
Comentarios: Tech support is always there to help and they are extremely knowledgeable in all areas. I usually learn a new feature or shortcut when I call for assistance.

This software has many automated features that saves the employee time. In Accounting they have a quick reversal buttons which will auto-generate the reversal of an AP Payment, AP Invoice, Journal Entry and more. Change Orders are directly tied with your billing and will automatically bring you to the AIA screen to update the billing line item. All-in-all it's a system that works with you to easily enter your information and generate a multitude of reports for every department. It is the most user friendly software I've used in the 20 years I've been doing accounting.
Contras:
I was disappointed that the Foundation Mobile app didn't have the reporting that our management staff needs to run our jobsites. If they ever add more reporting features, specifically clock in time reporting to that module, I will jump at the chance to switch, as it was a seamless import and saved our payroll dept. hours of review time.

Comentarios: Foundation really makes Payroll easy, we do ODOT jobs and they are compatible with the Electronic CRL Ashtoware programs required by ODOT
