> **Puntos a favor**: For most of the software products the prometheus exporter is available , it is easy to use for those who have a basic knowledge of how monitoring tool works, yes it takes only 3 months to deploy prometheus to monitor our entire infrastructure

> **Puntos en contra**: There is not much negativity about this product , but as per me there are few metrics which is not available,
for example : reg datastore's of vmware infrastructure , the available metrics are limited. I couldn't find the DS latency metric.But in opensource we cannot expect 100% also.

> I like prometheus the way it integrate with all products \& gives the granular output in grafanna.In opensource monitoring tool
prometheus is No.1 as of now according to me.

> **Puntos a favor**: The product is not very ease to use , it requires some basic skills about monitoring. The integration of prometheus with our existing environement took some time but made beautifully. Exporters available for almost all products with most of the inbuild metrics. Alert configuration i like the most. Our NOC team watches the alerts triggering from prometheus and escalated to respective team. They never get any false alerts as such.

> **Puntos en contra**: Configuring victoriya metrics is quite difficult which could be made easy. Overall prometheus administration requires some skills which not all people easy to learn. For some products few metrics are missing like for vmware datastore latency metric is mssing.

> We have cutdown the costing for monitoring. No more enterprise monitoring tool required.
