It's amazing. Having been in volunteering development for many years, the few options for volunteer management software was a major constraint - along with the lack of understanding within charities that volunteers can't be squished into CRM or HR software. With Assemble the volunteers' and volunteer managers' needs are really understood and answered. Volunteers want something easy to use that is of interest to them, not just a place to update their contact details. Being able to provide the tools and networking capabilities for them in a safe and legal way is absolutely fantastic. With Assemble we can let volunteers tell us what they're interested in, share their knowledge with others and get support from fellow volunteers within a safe environment. For volunteer managers, having yet another system to use in their work could have been a real negative. But instead, they ask to use Assemble for staff recruitment, as a resource library for their teams and to dump the online expenses system and use the Assemble one instead\! And with the integrated functions, volunteer records are easily kept up to date without anyone noticing that they're doing anything. For the organisation, all of the risk, data security and management concerns are completely covered. Volunteers are also able to use the Assemble app which is easy to install and use. In undertaking our product scoping it was these parts of Assemble that were the big plus and ultimately why we chose to implement it. The support we've received from the our Assemble rep has been super.
